About Nioby Monroe
I’m Nioby Monroe, an Afro-Latina model, content creator, and digital personality based in the Baltimore–Washington, DC area.
As an African American and Mexican woman with roots in Guadalajara, Mexico, my identity is at the heart of my creative work. I use fashion, beauty, storytelling, and visual content to celebrate the complexity and beauty of being Afro-Latina while creating space for women to see themselves represented in the industries and experiences that inspire them.
My work sits at the intersection of beauty, fashion, curly hair, lifestyle, travel, and culture. From beauty campaigns and fashion editorials to lifestyle experiences and destination content, I create visually elevated content that feels feminine, authentic, and culturally relevant.
My Story
Growing up with both Black and Mexican influences shaped the way I see beauty and identity. My connection to Mexico, my Afro-Latina heritage, and my experiences in the United States have given me a multicultural perspective that naturally influences my work.
Being an Afro-Mexican model means more than simply representing a demographic. It means bringing visibility to a community that has historically been underrepresented in mainstream fashion, beauty, and media.
Through my platform, I want women—especially Black, Latina, and Afro-Latina women—to feel seen, celebrated, and confident in every part of who they are.
I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing me to connect with both English- and Spanish-speaking audiences and create culturally authentic content for brands looking to reach diverse consumers.
